Seasonal and Annual Highlights

Community Action in Motion

Key Events Throughout the Year

Our calendar includes several large-scale outreach and fundraising events that support multiple Little Lambs projects:

  • Mandela Day (July):
Each year, our teenage girls lead hands-on projects that serve the elderly, from food parcel distributions to visits and community clean-ups.

  • Women’s Month (August):
A highlight of the year, gathering 900 girls for a day of celebration, empowerment, and education.

  • Stationery & Back-to-School Drive (January):
Volunteers and donors contribute stationery and essentials for students returning to school, ensuring that every girl begins the year ready to learn.

  • Winter Blanket & Clothing Drive (June):
Supporting families in need with warm clothing and blankets during the coldest months.

  • Christmas Outreach (December):
An annual community event filled with gifts, children’s activities, and shared meals — bringing joy, hope, and fellowship to local families.

Ongoing Drives and Campaigns

Continuous Support, Continuous Impact

How You Can Get Involved

Throughout the year, we run ongoing initiatives that meet immediate community needs:

  • Panty & Sanitary Pad Drive: “1 Pair + 1 Pad = School Attendance” — ensuring no girl stays home due to lack of essentials.

  • Uniform Drive: Providing school uniforms and shoes for students in need.

  • Food Parcel Distribution: Weekly food deliveries to vulnerable children and elderly residents in Dunoon.

  • Emergency Relief Fund: Responding to urgent cases such as medical support, family crises, or special needs for children.

Sewing and Skills Showcases

Stitching Purpose and Progress

Sewing Project Events

Our Sewing Project team plays an active role in several community and fundraising events:

  • Producing handmade items like pencil cases, baby clothes, and tote bags.

  • Hosting skills development workshops for local women.

  • Collaborating during Mandela Day and Women’s Month to produce community gifts and items for donation.
These events empower women through creativity while supporting other Little Lambs initiatives.
